Juan Luis Bravo is a writer and filmmaker with a passion for stories about love, friendship, and everyday beauty. Raised on public television in Sacramento, CA, he went on to study live-action filmmaking at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts. Juan has worked as a video producer for the D23 Disney Fan Club, as an assistant editor on Marvel Animation shows, and most recently as a storyboard artist on titles like Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures.
As a story artist and writer, Juan Luis aims to celebrate the beauty of everyday life and relationships. He loves to write stories that amplify marginalized narratives while speaking to the strength of kindness and compassion. In the interest of sharing, he enjoys passing along his learned experience and serves as a mentor for organizations including Women in Animation and Story for All. As a lifelong student, he can be found taking improv classes at Upright Citizens Brigade or taking salsa and swing lessons around Los Angeles.
